Three things to know before you call

  1. We are licensed insurance agents. Not Medicare, not a home care agency, not a plan. We explain how care at home can be paid for and which plans available where you live include in-home support.
  2. We do not offer every plan available in your area.Currently we represent [X] organizations which offer [Y] products in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.
  3. There is no charge to call and no obligation. You can hang up with more information and nothing else. Some services cost nothing, some do not, and we tell you which.

What happens on the call

1

Tell us where you live and who needs help

Your state and county decide what is available, and whether the help is for you, your spouse or a parent changes the answer.

2

Tell us what kind of help

Bathing and dressing, meals, rides to appointments, medication reminders, recovery after a hospital stay, or someone to check in.

3

Hear what may be available, explained

A licensed agent explains what Medicare's home health benefit does and does not cover, what some Medicare Advantage plans add, and what that means for you.

Who this call is for

You or your spouse need help with daily tasks at home and want to understand the options before anything changes.
You are home after a hospital stay or surgery and want to know what care at home may be available.
You are helping a parent stay in their own home and want plain answers about what is available where they live.
You have Medicare, or Medicare and Medicaid, and want to know what in-home support may be available to you.

What we will not do

  • Tell you a service costs nothing when it does not. Some do, some do not, and we say which.
  • Send a caregiver to your door. We are licensed insurance agents, not a home care agency.
  • Ask for your Medicare number, Social Security number or bank information to answer your questions. Those are only needed if you choose to enroll, and never on a first call.
  • Pressure you to decide on the call. You decide what, if anything, happens next.
  • Call you eight times a day. If you ask for a call back, we call back once, when you asked.
  • Pretend to be Medicare. We are licensed insurance agents, and we say so.

Common questions

Does Medicare cover help at home?

Original Medicare covers home health care that a doctor orders for someone who is homebound: part-time skilled nursing, therapy and some home health aide services. It does not pay for help with daily living on its own, such as bathing or meals, when that is the only care needed. Some Medicare Advantage plans add in-home support benefits. A licensed agent explains what applies to you.

Is there a charge to call?

No. There is no charge to call and no obligation to enroll in anything.

Who answers the phone?

A licensed insurance agent in your state. We are not a government agency, we are not Medicare and we are not a home care agency.

Can I call for my mother or father?

Yes. Many calls come from adult children. We can explain the options; any decision about a plan stays with the person on Medicare.

Ready when you are.

Licensed agents answer during the hours shown. One call, plain answers, and you decide.
